Pitter, patter, pitter, patter,
Rat, tat, tat,
So the rhythm went.
Water’s ceaseless beat drumming
On the window.

A shot of water
To tease the taste buds
And satisfy the senses.

Wandering, stumbling, bumbling,
I fall to my knees at your feet,
Oh Watery God,
Kind oasis in this brutal desert.

The sun shines above,
Flowers are blooming,
Watery dew saves the feet
From grass’ unmerciful tickling.

Tired girl lifts her face.
Water streaks down her cheeks.
Oh, why does she weep?
