Walk on

I could say the world would be better
without me.
But I don’t.
I could say that pain will make
it easier to deal.
But I don’t.
I could walk around always
mad, gloomy, and closed up.
But I don’t.

I have lived through hell
and I came out smiling.
I am stronger than the
Tests life puts me through.
I walk with pride, a smirk on my face
knowing my heart will endure.
I have one life to live
and I’ll be damned if I
don’t make the best of it.

So I walk with strength,
determination in my step.

I walk on.
